Big Dance

It sounds great to celebrante the beginning of the summer by dancing. To dance for the whole week or even the year? That is the motto of an event called Big Dance which starts at the beginning of July in London. People living in London need not be worried about travelling to the centre – they can dance in the theatres, the parks or the streets of North, South, West and also East London. Even if you are only visiting London, especially its centre, you can still participate in the event – you can dance there too. Balloon Fiesta
7th – 8th August 2008, Bristol
Attending festivals has become a traditional summer activity, the most usual being those related to music or art. In Bristol, however, a festival which is not very traditional takes place – the four-day balloon festival. It is one of the biggest outdoor events in Great Britain. This year sees the 30th anniversary of the event and its popularity is shown by the several thousands of visitors. Do not miss the flight of more than 120 balloons over Bristol during the day and also at night.

Beatle Week
20th - 26th August 2008, Liverpool
It is to be expected that the biggest celebration of the music of the legendary Beatles takes place in their native city of Liverpool, which is this year‘s European Capital of Culture. Bands from more than twenty countries will play across the whole city creating a great atmosphere along with art expositions, memorabilia sales, record fairs, tours around the city and video shows.
